So very tired!

I don't think there's any word in the English vocabulary to describe how very tired I am. I feel physically drained, emotionally exhausted, spiritually depleted and mentally burnt out... BUT... I did manage to finish my native American style flute for my end of year project this week. Here's a video I put together of the process. I'll be submitting it to my teacher tomorrow. Enjoy.

  1. That was incredibly cool to get to watch how the whole process of making the flute. And what a lovely result!
I was thinking maybe I should send you a few clamps for Christmas... :D

  2. Thanks a million, soulsis!! I really amped up the speed on that one... My SIL is coming over next week and I've been trying to cram in as much homework as humanely possible so that I have some time off to spend with her.

My sculpting class has gone beyond nuts!!! Today, I had to drive a half hour back and forth to a store up north to buy a block of styrofoam for our next sculpting project. Yes... You read that right... Styrofoam! (or polystyrene, as it's called here.) The crap that makes a messy flurry when you carve it... WTF!? I am NOT impressed! I decided to use my pyroetching tool and make myself a "hot cutting knife" using a thin piece of wire as a nib. It worked a treat, bu the thing is... I have to wear a chemical respirator and carve this crap outdoors as the fumes are HIGHLY toxic. I had a go at this thing this arvo, and I think my neighbours were as unimpressed as I was by the whole prospect of it. Gimme natural materials like wood, bone, stone and leather any old day of the week... To hell with manmade chemical crap, I say!!!

Thanks for visiting my blog and taking the time to leave me a comment! :)
