Norse weapon and armour

I finally finished my papier-mâché sculptures for my Thursday class. I also managed to make a little rustic wooden stand to display them on. I opted to make them look old and rusty for more authenticity.

Display stand, roughly 33cm (13") in height
Front (the sigil is an "Aegishjalmur", an helm of awe)
Back (the chainmail is a basic 4 in 1 weave)

Front (the runic script reads "Einherjar" and "Valhalla")

The finished trio

  1. Simply AWESOME. You never cease to amaze me...

  2. Bev, you took the words right out of my mouth...

The first thing I thought when I saw the finished product was exactly that... AWESOME :) .

Each piece is amazing and then when they all come together they look even better. Great work Carole! :)

  3. Dear soulsis and faerysis... You guys made me blush (fer real!) :) I've put a lot of time and effort in those little sculptures!! It's nice to have all this hard yakka appreciated.

I had to bring the whole kiddle-kaboodle at school today and everyone loved it. Even my goofy teacher was in awe. I guess the Aegishjalmur charm worked! ;) LOL!

Thanks for visiting my blog and taking the time to leave me a comment! :)
