A lovely day

I decided to go for a stroll at our local park and bring my iPod along with me. Here are some of the pics I took along the way.

Ducks in the creek

Ibis feather on the footpath

The patriarch of the forest

Another huge river red gum

Gnarly twisted trunk on the river bank

  1. Nice pics of your stroll! Does the bark normally peel off the tops of the gums, or is that just because age?

  2. Thanks luv! :) Most gums shed their bark annually. The rough part at the bottom remains during the dry season (as protection against forest fires) and then it comes off in strips.

Thanks for visiting my blog and taking the time to leave me a comment! :)
